PROGRES2 may possibly stand for PROGRESS, the last S being replaced with the 2, which looks a bit like a backward S. PROGRESS with double-S must have been taken.

Very competitive person’s plate. I was surprised by not seeing a bumper sticker reading “If you ain’t won - you lost” or “The one who dies with most toys wins”. It sucks not to have an Outstanding Licence Plate.

This Australian plate photo was emailed by Mark Goddard. It’s installed on the Citroen GS1200 Club - which, according to Unique Cars and Parts, has “possessed that quality of ugliness which only the chic French could make admirable.”
I find this description quite funny. If you are into French movies (or live in France) you must have seen a lot of these cars. I’ll leave it up to your taste in car design. Some may find North American vehicles ugly looking. Anyway - enjoy the plate photo.
